Our Story
Founded in Manchester in 2011, amber-blossom emerged from a shared conviction that urban planning should serve communities rather than simply managing development. Our founding directors brought together experience from local government, private consultancy, and academic research to establish a practice that combines technical rigour with genuine understanding of place.
Over fifteen years, we have grown from a small team handling local projects to a consultancy trusted by councils, housing associations, and private developers across England and Wales. Our expansion has never compromised our founding principles: every project receives dedicated attention from senior planners who understand the particular pressures and opportunities of urban development.
We remain independent and privately owned, allowing us to take on projects based on their merit rather than commercial pressure. This independence means we can offer candid advice, even when that advice challenges initial assumptions.
